I really learned a lot from playing the first generation Pokemon game again. There’s a lot of really subtle but clever design choices between the classic Gameboy and the colour rendition of the game. The really harsh contrast in colour design here was done in the hope of being able replicate that in a more drawn style.

When it came to this particular video, it was supposed to be a stop gap between projects. Lock down really took a lot out of me though, and as such for the longest time was my last video project for a good 6 months or so.

Gameboy Color Challenge
Really enjoyed making this, the piece is just so colourful and has a lot of energy. Definitely worth a watch for the experience and positive vibes. Art challenges make for great ways to broaden skills and knowledge.
